Parks and Facilities
City of Tucson Parks & Recreation oversees over 120 parks ranging from small neighborhood greenspaces to large regional parks with sports complexes, natural areas, lakes, five public golf courses, and the award-winning Reid Park Zoo Visit Tucson+14Wikipedia+14Tucson City Government+14. They manage 19 recreation and special interest centers spread across the city Tucson City Government+1MapQuest+1. The department also supports trails, pools, splash pads, senior and youth programs, and robust community services.
Facilities are managed by Tucson Parks & Recreation (City) and by Pima County Parks & Recreation (for county-run trails like “The Loop”, Rillito River Park, and County community centers). Tucson Mountain Park, Saguaro National Park, and Tohono Chul Park are overseen by various national/state/private entities.
